FS Aeromarine XXX mono

Gave $350 for it a few months back, never used the hull, not hacked up, inside got a coat of finish cure epoxy, has 2 or 3 small chips on the deck.

asking $200 shipped.

comes with some sick hardware, but the prev owner went at the strut with a milling machine and cut steps for some bushing he never finished, i think a speedmaster strut would work fine in it, I gave $235 for the hardware new.

Its about 45" long and 11~12" wide?? ill have to measure.

Im looking for nitro gear (big CC stuff .67~.101) or a mac 45... lol

im interested in this boat i have a cmb 90 grand prix i want to put in it . can you modify the grand prix? what is your back loge on engine mods? are you sure you can mod this engine and not hurt it cuz you cant buy a new piston and sleeve for it anymore. how much do you charge to mod an engine? how fast do you think it will go with this combo and your mods?

A 90 in this would be to much stock never mind mods, you would have a hard time keeping it on the deck. If you just had to put a .90 in it then id run the needle 3~6% richer then heat trim settings, At its best id be looking at sticking a hot 67 in it and running 55~60 in a line or 55 going in circles.

I think he means running correctly. It's possible with the lighter nitro it will get loose at highspeeds because it was designed for a heavier gas motor?

yah i was going to say my boats usually run with the deck up and the bottom on the water.

i thought this boat would handle a hot 26 zen. i run an .82 in my 40 inch prather and it handles it just fine. i know this boat is bigger then a 40 prather.

Its Apples to oranges, the GP motor you have is better then any of the other motors you owns with the exception of the picco. This is a light hull made for a heavy zen, If you want ill bring the hull to work monday, you can stop by with your motor and we will check where the CG is going to lay, it might be fine.. But id like to check it out b4 you buy a hull.

your prather, A great boat still to this day in my oppinion. Was designed for nitro. The xxx was designed for gas, it will run with a nitro, it's the topend speed that might be inquestion. (What could happen?) is it will start to keel walk to the point were it will go out of control and roll over. On another note that 40 prather must really haul the mail! with that motor!

Some or alot of these newer hulls are designed to run on either gas or nitro. I don't believe it was a option on the xxx?

But for the price you can't really lose it's a super deal on a really nice looking boat from here. You could always if it doesn't like to run on nitro. get a full moddiffied zenoah and have the best of both worlds.
