Well I was at the race in Melbourne Fl last weekend hanging with Jerry of Seaducer boats. We got board and he decided to fill his new prop box and pulled out cardboard boxes of props.

He started handing me props and this is one I liked. It is a ABC casting of his own design. This is the prop casting he set the 60 mono record with.

He had the one he ran and we tried it on my SGX 1.01 after racing Sat night.

Pitched it up and leaned on the eng . WOW!!!!!!!!

Smooth as glass and launched like nothing.

Well needless to say I could not keep up with the boat and with a gas twin mono in the way hit a buoy and broke the sponson.

It was worth it!!!!!

This is what it looks like after I pitched and prepped a raw casting.

3.7 lead in and 7.2 trailing 2.5" or 61mm Dia.

Will give it a spin this weekend.

Thanks bud!!!

Wait till you see the other one he gave me. LOL

nice david

i remember running OR TRYING TO RUN a v-967.. man it was fast but holy hell id just wanted to keep turning out of the turns.

i take it that one hasn't caused any issues?

David,

Looks like a 2518/3 with 75 Bar.

It worked well for you I take it?

Nice finish,

One of my fellow club members runs a prop like that. His Whip is plenty fast. No marking on the cast, we never knew what to call it.

Neil,

Once it is measured it is easier to tell what propeller it is.

This one of Jerry's is most likely a 2518/3 the pitch and diameter tell you

the story.

Keep Testing,

I think he said it started as a V sears prop that he did lots of work on then had Jim digitalized it and cast them up?

I think this is what he sells as a hydro prop for the gas boats?

There where a few beers involved and props lined up all over the place. So It may be a little fuzzy on the info.

I will post a pic of the beast prop that is a cut and weld recast of a large V seres prop when I get it prepped.

The one I tried at the race handled real good. The one in the pic is my redoing of the raw casting and I have not run it yet.

I have a few more he gave me that are his castings. one is a redo and reduced 1475. will prep that and give it a spin when I get the time.

I was like a kid in a candy store when he dumped those boxes on the table.

I ran the new 1.5" rudder Steve Wood made me and it put the boat on rails no pushing the back end around any more. Point an shoot at its best.

Looks like the Seaducer hydro prop I ran on my whip. Its probably a little different, but I liked they way the boat drove with mine too.

I have done a lot of work to this prop. It dose not look like the casting as far as cup.

Had to add a bunch to load the 1.01

The profile has not bin changed.

Mark wiIll you be doing any like that?

The prop David has is the SDG1 prop that I made about 10 years ago. Way long before Jim came out with his prop line it was made for my gas hydros back when the 26 motors were being used. Now with the 29.5 motors it's to small for gas It did run great on his hydro but needed some more cup as it was a little small for a 101 or just needed to shorten the pipe to get more rpm. But it was hauling the mail when he hit the buoy.

shorten the pipe. Dang it will be at 10". will see if this 1.01 will stay together.

Should be a good test for the Bouchie piston and Greg's full complement ceramic bearings. LOL

WTF let here RIP!!!!!!!

O Stu I need some parts. LOL
