It took 3 days to beat this SS SOB in to shape. It was a real pain to bend.

If it breaks I will be very surprised.

Man doesnt it beat up on the transom and strut when you throw a blade

learnt the hard lesson on that with my 40 boat

On my old SG it would pop the transom out every time.

The newest SGX I Just had made the transom is beefed up and dowel pined and the Octura SS strut is much stronger than any thing out there.

IT TAKES A LICKING AND KEEPS ON TICKING.

The boat was made with prop breakage in mind.

Have a whole pile of broken ABC props. Learned the hard way what is what.

Well it got a gallon run on it and did not break.

Good speed and acceleration but a lot of lift. moved the strut all the way up till it settled down enough to get a good feel for it.

Will mod the strut for the next run to get it higher.

1/4" higher than the H50 and still has some hop to it.

Looks good for a first run.

O its name is Aphrodite's. ^_^

had to take some parabolic out of the edges and a little cup at the pond to get it to run.

I can see what is wrong with it but it is cast into the blade when thy made it.

Has a ski ram right after the tong. To close to the hub to change.

Well gave it a try.

Not that it wont live. But had a close call at the last race and bent one blade a little.

Need to copy this H50 or find a replacement for the future.

The new H50 are small.

He needs an old H-50 from Tidewater days. 67mm diameter not 63 to 64 mm. Cr Co is what he needs.

If anyone has any old Tidewater propellers let David or Myself know about them please.

Well spent some more time beating the heck out of this thing and gave it a last try to day in open water.

Got the hop out and it is running real nice. little more prep work and I think it will pan out.

Good speed and easy launch. Throttles real nice also.

Need little more time to test to nail it down.

It is far from being a good prop right out of the box stock. But with work it looks like it will be a stellar heat racing prop.

All the basics are there. Good blade area too diameter too pitch ratio.

With a nice tung to boot.

Also it's SS no more broken blades I hope

the higher you raise the strut the more Air you introduce to the suction side of the prop efffecting.......Top Speed.

I have this prop running with it set up on the table 1/8" spacer under the rear sponsons and the strut on the table at 1.5 deg.
