Flat bottom vs round bottom

Was wondering what performance diffrences are between a flat bottom strut vs a round bottom strut?

Its for a sport 40 with OPS in a Dumas eagle

I run the flat bottom in an AC Boats ProII, with an OPS 45 and a X450 2blade. The flat bottom gives more lift to the rear of the boat. With the OPS this helps to get more rpm's out of the engine.
