Does anyone have information on standard set up, for the fire fighter gas outrigger, i.e. engine placement, prop choices etc

any information would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Shane

Hi Shane

I have one I am running with a mod 29.5cc mounted as far forward as you can get it. My best prop so far is a 2816/2 with bar cuts. 2814/2 is good too. I am at high alt. so you may be able to pull bigger props. 2716/2 is a good prop to have and start with and get things going. Works good on a mod 26cc.

Mine is the 4" tub from the first drawings and I think it is awsome well behaved rigger.

Hi Mike,

many thanks, this is my first gas rigger, have only built nitro riggers until now, I'm going to use a Omen race modified 29cc with stroker crank.

The FFgas rigger seems like a very neat design - no frills, but well thought out.

The blue one we ran a 2717/2 it has a gizmo 26 with cooper pipe. The tube is 5 inch wide 4 1/2 inside we used a 1/2 x 1 inch vibration mounts. This way you can use a standard mount accutech turn fin tsunami cowl.Use 5/8 tubing on the tub 1/2 in the sponsons.
