i dont know cause i havent recived it yet any ways its direct drive and i will be running 12 cells and water cooling.... would i need brush cooling?

Hi,

Let us know what motor you have when you get it and I can give you an idea on props for DD. You shouldn't need brush cooling but it never hurts.

Paul.

Hi,

I need to know which Graupner 700 it is, there are several. It could be an 8.4, 9.6, 9.6 neo, 12?

Paul.

If its a 700bb turbo 8.4 start with a x442. You will probably be able to move to a x445.

But its a big boat for direct drive, be careful when going larger than x442.

hello it is the turbo 8.4 volt any ways im lookin at a huey gear drive or a fieago 12xl brushless with a gear drive the inside of the boat is reinforced with fiberglass so flex isnt an issue i currently have a 40 mm prop on my f1 boat will that work or is it too small? ps for steven what turn brushless should i get the 12 ? or the 10 i want runtime with some speed i will be running 12 gp 3300 cells . also i was wondering what esc for that 700 motor i was looking at that jeti esc that you have the red one cause im kinda on a budget right now please let me know the mtoor and esc will be water cooled

It can't hurt to start with the 40mm

For the 700 the Jeti 600 works great.

The choice of brushless motor will depend on if you use a gear box or not.

on my budget i was thinkin a fiago 12 turn xl on 12 cells witha 45 mm prop direct drive with water coolin jacket and water cooled esc and what advantages are a geared drive? being able to run a bigger prop ? let me know
