I just saw a boat on e-bay for sale that was designed by John Finch. I must really be getting old, because I don't remember designing a boat like that. Buyer beware!!!!!
Senior moment??? You forgot.     :lol:I just saw a boat on e-bay for sale that was designed by John Finch. I must really be getting old, because I don't remember designing a boat like that. Buyer beware!!!!!
Are you saying I can hide my own Easter eggs?Senior moment??? You forgot.     :lol:I just saw a boat on e-bay for sale that was designed by John Finch. I must really be getting old, because I don't remember designing a boat like that. Buyer beware!!!!!
If I designed it..........it must be over 30 years old. I only raced riggers from 1972 to 1978 before I went into the mono racing. And I didn't start running hydros again until Kentley and I worked on the 100 mph boats about 1998 or so. Those were Kentleys designs. No, wait a minute. I did design a twin in the 80's and a twin canard in the 80's, but I believe they went thru the bandsaw after I was done like all my other designs that were experiments. I always destroy the evidence and re-use the hardware. Maybe this one escaped the bandsaw.John,There is NO WAY you can remember all the boats you have tried
The boat should be at my door next week. Maybe you could give some setup tips.
LMAO!!! As long as I've known you if I had a dollar for every supposedly destroyed experiment that got attacked with a bottle of CA and/or epoxy and found it's way back to the pond in some other shape or form I'd eat lunch today at Morton's Steak House & probably have enough left over for a fat tip for the waitress!   ..... but I believe they went thru the bandsaw after I was done like all my other designs that were experiments. I remember one of those boats you ran in Atlanta. It was a twin mono with sponsons mounted the front of it.If I designed it..........it must be over 30 years old. Man he was confused if he had his sponsons on his mono????? :lol:I remember one of those boats you ran in Atlanta. I never ran sponsons on my mono! I did however get 7th place at the Indy unlimited out of about 125 boats in that one class using a mono that had steps in it to make it a hydro class boat. The mono had two steps in it and that's the only mono I ran in the hydro class to the best of my memory. Except a seducer with steps and a gas engine two years ago. I did run a twin cat for a couple of years in Atlanta so as to learn about the dynamics of twin engines in a cat. I Did run a Twin 56 inch Twincraft in the hydro class for a year with one step in it. Gee..........I have run a lot of mono's in the hydro class now that my memory is jogged, but I don't remember sponsons on any of them. I did run hydrofoils on a 60 mono in 1983 and a twin canard about 1987. I did run a rigger with a deep vee bottom on the tub about 6 years ago for heat racing and had a lot of them for straightaway trials, but they are riggers with vee bottoms, not deep vee's with sponsons.Man he was confused if he had his sponsons on his mono????? :lol:I remember one of those boats you ran in Atlanta. If that's true, I can also buy just one good movie and watch it over and over because every day it would be like a new movie.
