FE 1/8 SCALE HYDRO ?

OK FE Guys,its your time to shine. I have talked to Mike Luszcz about a 1/8 scale FE hydro. I am asking anyone who has this type of boat to post pics and describe the type of equipment they are using. Also can someone tell what the difference in cost is compared to a nitro equipped 1/8 scale hydro. Thanks.

Hi I'm doing a PT 1/8 bud as for price up to you on what you want it can be $650 for ESC nue motor $800 bats well for good ones you will need 2 5S pack at $350 each I'm going the lesser way mine is just for fun. You might want to ask this on OSE

Not so anymore. You don't need the High priced controller anymore. You can get one for $300 Hobby King. Motor is about $500. Plett, Nue 1527 or Lerner 2280. heck Offshore Electrics sells some Leopards for $250 that will do it.

Great batts will only cost $450 for the set.

Yup, Howard is correct. A NEU 1527 motor runs about $260 thru Steve @ OSE, Swordfish 240HV ESC about $250 (also thru Steve) and figure about $500-$600 for a good set of batteries, I prefer Hyperion G3 EX's 45c 5000 mah- http://hyperion-world.com/products/product/HP-LG345-5000-4S

With that said, there are not very many 1/8 scale electrics out there. YET B)

The P classes (4 cell lipo) are the most prevalent and best attended classes at most race events. There are some exceptions to this at larger National level races though.
