Ok, we had our meeting tonight and worked out the details for the 2009 season. We will be holding club races thru the season. We will start in March (weather permitting) and run thru October at 1 race per month. That will be a total of 8 races. At the end there will be trophys given out for the top 3 in each class. We will require that there be at least 3 boats in a class for it to be eligible. Final points will be decided by the best 5 out of 8 finishes. Racing fees will be $8 for the first boat and $3 for each boat after that. IMPBA cards will be checked at each race. Our pond is in Princess Anne, MD on the eastern shore behind the MD state police barracks. Some time this weekend I will post the dates after checking the D12 schedule so that there are no conflicts. Any questions can be sent to me thru here by either PM or email. Our pond is located in Princess Anne, MD on the eastern shore Just behind the Md State Police barracks there. It is just off of Rt 13 South.
These are the dates for the 2009 "Jail Break" race series (our pond is near a MD State Prison)
March 15th
April 5th
May 3rd
June 14th
July 12th
August 9th
Sept 13th
Oct 18th.
All races will be on Sunday.
Races will start at 12 noon.
We will offer both gas and nitro classes, there will be a 3 boat min to make a class. Hopefully we will see some of our friends from other clubs attending as well. We are hoping to get some new people interested in this great hobby by doing this. There will be flyers in the Aeromarine hobby store hopefully will get some the RTR guys and gals interested in coming out as well. Wish us luck on this first year of trying this..
