Yesterday the Charleston Model Boaters (CMB) voted to add in the newly created twin gas rigger class to the Fall Nationals race in October. Rules will as stipulated by those recently approved by the IMPBA board and are noted in the March 2009 Roostertail.

In addition, we will be setting up a competition shootout at that race. The top 3 NITRO twin riggers will square off against the top 3 GAS twin riggers from each class to crown a first time twin rigger champion. So the twin nitro boats will get to race the gas twin boats for the first time and get an award for that champion.

The race is 6 months away so get the twin gas boats ready to race against the nitro twins. The race flyer is expected to be released in May after the CMB World OB Tunnel Championships. All racers are welcome to attend. Many gas, nitro and gas classes are offered at the race. The 2008 Fall Nationals had over 275 boats that raced. Put it on your race calendar.

That is a cool idea!!!!!!!!!!!

OK gang,

The race entry flyer for this race will be out in a few days. There is a 225 boat limit with racing starting at 8 am on Friday morning and is a 3 day race as scheduled. Start thinking very seriously about what you want to enter so when the flyer is release late this week, you will be ready to enter. Last year's race sold out very quickly and we expect the same to happen for this event. There are a large number of nitro, gas and tunnel classes being offered as well as an RTR class too.

Trophy class sponsorships are available for $75 for each class. Beautiful large plaques with the sponsors names engraved on them. Last year's race we spent over $1,400 for the trophies - we do not scrimp (go cheap) on them!
