Yes, the Phil Thomas sport-40 is epoxy glass and is natural in it's color.

Phils IS the only available, good running, sport-40 there is.

There are supposed to be some from Canada,,, but have yet to see one run. or a place to be able to purchase one.

AC model boats has/had a good running sport-40, but haven't seen a new one in years. I hear getting one from manufacture is hit or miss... But the AC is a gel-coated poly or vinyl ester resin hull

Yes they are epoxyglass no gelcoat finish. $325 is the cost. Yea you have to prep and paint them but you will have a boat that will last more than one year with no stress cracks in the finish.

Phil's boats are easy to set up. I have seen several different set-ups and they all work great... front or rear radio box, tanks in the front or the sides, high lift props or low lift props. You can't go wrong with any of them on this hull.

Forgot to mention one other. Steve Peterson has a good running sporty. But it will not be gel-coated either. But still a good boat

The boat from Brian baus will have a superior finish. Not cheap but very very well done
