Man I just gotta vent! We have been getting our butts handed to us all week weather wise, seems like I've been without power more than with and that's during 100+ degree temps! 100mph sheer winds recorded during Monday's storm which dropped two large pine trees in my neighbor's yard into my back yard (still there, going round and round with insurance about who pays), lost power on that one for about 30 hours, Thursday we get nailed again, lost power until late Friday afternoon. Yesterday was worse than Monday, brown out at about 10am and out until around 3pm then last night about 8pm another storm with a tornado going by just up the road from here, just got power back an hour ago. More storms forecast for tonight. This shiznit is getting real old real fast..........

Hang in there Brother, don't know what I'd do if we lost the power in this heat wave. Just finished getting the pool ready after power washing the deck. Power goes out, I'll be "Cast Away" on a rubber raft in the pool. B)

Damn Don, that's rough. And I was complaining about the light rain we were having here this weekend.

Hey Don,

Radar is getting hyper active out east fer sure!

Stay safe Man,

Gene

Yeah this BS totally bites the big one. We are seeing no relief at all in sight this week either, calling for 101 today and afternoon/evening thunderstorms for the next 7-10 days!! Still have to fight with two insurance companies (mine and my neighbor) over who pays to get the frikkin' pine trees off my shed and out of my yard. My insurance company says I'm responsible (my policy) for shed but neighbor is responsible for his trees. His insurance company is trying to play the "act of God" card...............

Yup I had a huge tree and a neighbor told me my insurance would cut it down. I called just to humor him and was told if it falls in my yard mine covers it. And if it falls in his yard his covers it.......

Hope things improve soon Don. Yep act of god. Got my mother on that one a few years back when neighbors tree destroyed a fence. That's B.S.-whoever planted that tree should be responsable for damage it does.

If you get no satisfaction, cut it up and dump it on his property. Just might have an accidental Charleston "red neck party" bonfire. ^_^

Someone from my insurance company is supposed to come by tomorrow to "assess" the situation. Even if they say they'll cover removing the trees I don't think it's right that I have to make a claim against my policy for the neighbors trees, not to mention it'll still cost me money with the deductible factored in. When it comes to insurance companies it seems they do whatever they can to get out of paying and if they do pay out they'll jack your rates at renewal time to get their money back.

Don , when I see that pine tree this is all I see !! Nice yard for a bonfire !
