What do you do when you have a ebay buyer that is harassing you? for a item that you clearly sold as-is. with now warnaties ? and stated if you have any ? to ask before bidding? and they just bid then ask the ?

Jimmy :(

cancel there bid, answer the question and see if they bid again.

i would let them know in your answer to there question that you are going to cancel there bid since i suppose that in tha auction it states ask queastions before bidding?

does the person have a good feedback rating?

That's a hard one... I guess it depends on the situation. How clear was the ad stating the condition of the item? Was it easy for the buyer to tell what was wrong with the item, and what was needed to fix it?

If you list the auction # and state the buyers complaint I will take a look at it and let you know what I think. I sell and buy alot on E-Bay and have had a few bad deals in the past. I know that it can be very frustrating!

well Jimmy, looks like he went ahead and left you negative. hey, did you start that scale hydro from the plans i sold you yet, the smokin joes? i looked at your ad for the quickdraw and as you said it was plainly stated as-is and needed some work. although hopefully your idea of "freshening up" doesn't mean all the internals needed replacing? lol. I think he jumped on it then had second thoughts, then got mad at you when he had no one else to blame but himself? $%it happens.... do your best and what more can you do? bummer...

clay no i have not done any thing on those plans as i been swamp with orders for twincraft. and my day job been 12 hours or more a day just got back home for the night. And the item i was talking about was the qd motor. and i never did any thing with not even took it apart it was just the way i bough of ebay a few years ago. and the bidder got the motor and started right away saying it was missing parts? as he got every thing that was in the picture that i had for it. and i knew it need a coil as no red wire coming out of it. and the bidder said it had some striped threds so i offered to fix those with heli coils. inserts. for him if he wanted to send the bad parts to me. to fix but that was not good enough .

and my terms of freshing up would include a ring , seals and bearings. if neeed. as i know it had low comp.

thank you to all that replyed.

as it helped.

Might be good idea when buying to sell on e bay. Inspect what you get throughly before putting it up for bids, then tell what you think you're putting up for bids, so you get no surprises after you've sent the item. ;)

Jimmy-

Bottom line is you said "SOLD AS IS". If he didn't read the text before he bought that's his problem. Yeah he was a jerk & left you negative feedback, just gotta chalk that one up to s*#t happens. You still should post am e-mail to Ebay about it anyway. Not your fault dude! ;)

I have been in this situation many times. Looks like you tried to work with him too. When all else fails I will give a full refund to the jerk and relist the item to avoid any negative feedback. That is the price of doing business sometimes. Take the loss and go on down the road. As they say.

Next time you run into one of these do not leave negative feedback just because they left you negative feedback. They paid for the auction that is there responsibility to the terms of the auction. It looks bad for you as a person as to how you are going to treat people that purchase from you. Next time leave a positive "paid quickly" or something simple like that and then reply to the feedback that they left for you like you did.

If they are only bothering you by e-mail block thier e-mail address. If they are calling you I am not sure what to do.

So you let them tarish YOUR feedback profile because they didn't bother to read the auction description & to know what "as is" means!?!? NO WAY!! They DIDN'T follow the terms of the auction because it was sold AS IS! Therefore there is NO grounds for the buyer to give that negative in the first place. You don't let someone get away with that as he will just do it to somebody else. You give an appropriate negative feedback & any Ebay user with 1/2 a brain can see what happened by reading comment responses. The auction description was clear, item was sold as is. Not to mention this could be one of those scammer situations where the guy gets his refund & keeps the motor too. All he has to say is "well I sent it back" & that's where Ebay bows out. You hear those stories all the time...........

Tell ya what gang, I hesitated to say this again, but what the hey........ ;)

I used to buy and sell a lot on Ebay, but I said heck with it all, this was bout a year ago.

I bought a camera from a seller with geat feedback, USPS priority mailed the payment to him with tracking, it got there in three days. My camera arrived a month and a half later!!!! It was in good shape as described, but Sheeeesh!

Numerous Emails during the time were comments like, O you must be new to Ebay, Ah no, I have many suscessfull deals. Any how I left him neutral feedback, not neg, neutral. My only comment on the feedback was slow shippping.

The guy went full tilt bozo, demanded I retract, turned me over to the square deal trade thing, 8 emails a day with threats to remove or else. I canceled my account and that took 6 months to actually go through. There is no way I was say'n anything different cause I did have to wait a stupid amount of time for the camera to arrive. It was not shipping error, he just did not ship when he said he would. Knowing what I know now I should have slammed the guy neg.

I reserve the right to post any feedback I choose to best describe the deal or screw it.

I have reopened a buyers account only and bought only one item since then,

I buy directly from Intlwaters members now, and order the rest.

My 2 cents,

Gene

I hear that Gene, For the 7 good sellers and buyers, you have 3 that are scammers or sell crap.

I stayed away for a long time as well, but been looking for a rigger and just watching things.

Jimmy your feed back speaks for itself. The guy, well sounds like a young KID made a real ass of himself, and i would say return engine, and give money back and relist it. More of a headach to deal with a jerk off than anything.

and if you do get it back, I would be instrested in one of them pipes as well.

Tom

as of today the square trade thing with this item was closed.

and i hope this is a done thing as this guy has drug this out so far and long. I'm tired of it.

as i try to sell good items but some time i don't know the shape of the item. so it is sold on ebay as-is. and the items i do list on hear and rcboat/jims dock are items that I can stand behind as i make sure of what i sell on these boards as I like to buy from them every so often and like to be treadted fair too.

and just incase some of you keep a eye on ebay i have been listing new boats on thare as sales are not that great from the web site. but have gotten a few from the rcboat mag. ad. :)

So please let this post Die now.

Thank you

Jimmy
