New guy on the job built a Dumas Easy V a few years ago and is interested in power / hardware / servo choices to finish the boat now that he knows I play around with em.

Where can you guys steer me to head him in the right direction ??

I wanna say its 34-36 inch range.

I was thinking 40 power ???

I never knew Dumas made an Easy Vee? If memory serves me correctly, Jerry Dunlop published an article in Flying Models with his design Easy Vee. I have even bought the plan and built one in the 70's

If it is the same boat, and again, if memory served, it used a hard shaft articulated drive.

If built light, today's .20 will power the hull nicely. Or a vintage .40/45...that is just my opinion.

Maybe an O.S. 46vx-m. It's a very easy engine to tune. Just have him use an engine mount with a cradle, otherwise the crankcase housing could crack as some have experienced.
