Eagle SG Boom Tubes.

Guys... I’m striking out here.

I’m looking for a place to order bulk carbon boom tubes for the older SG hulls. My 80 and .45 boat both have the same size tube, but I can’t find them anywhere.

I’ve looked at Goodwinds
I’ve looked at Clearwater Composites
I’ve looked at Dragonplatr
I’ve looked at Rockwest composites.
I’ve searched IW

None of them have what I need.

My tubes measure (roughly, it’s not super consistent) .525” outside diameter, and roughly .425” inside diameter

My sponson tubes are around .415” OD.

Any help?

Here you go Gabe. I think you might have been looking in the wrong section. Someone might have drilled out your current tubes by ~0.008".

Hey Gabe, yes, Andy used the fiberglass ones. He called them composite and a lot of people assumed they were carbon. I’ve ordered them before From Acp. They were out of a lot of the sizes last time I checked. Jeff Lutz

yes they are glass fiber ....I guess Andy wanted something other than the tub to break in the case of a crash...now everything is solid carbon time marches on

When he started using them , he was building the boat from liteply, so the hull did break.

Also, if you have any of the booms that were .500” I.D. The next size that slides in is .505 O.D and needs sanding Down . On my personal boats I’ve went to thick walled carbon tubes.
