I have a new Dynamite GPS unit for sale. This meter is new and never been used. (It is the second one I bought so the following comments are from the first one). It can update 10 times per second, which means at 70 mph (103 feet per second) you are getting a data point every 10.3 feet. It can also record your entire run and display the track you drove on your PC overlaid on a google map. Then you can hover your cursor over each point on the track and see the speed at any particular point (within the limits of resolution, e.g. 10.3 feet at 70 mph). It also captures peak speed on the display.
The internal battery is small and at 10 updates a second does not run very long. Maybe 30-60 minutes? The good news is that there is a port for connecting a receiver battery to power it. It charges the internal battery and connects to your PC with an included USB cable.
They claim it is waterproof but as an engineer who used to design IP67 waterproof instruments, I can assure you it is not waterproof! I therefore put mine in a small Ziploc bag and secured it on the bait box of my larger boats for test runs. On the smaller boats I put it inside the radio box, but that was a pain because I had to un-tape, read, and reset after each test run.
Here is a pic of the track it made and displayed on my PC. I just drove down my street and turned around then went home. You can see where I put the cursor to show the speed at a particular point. This works really well if you want to see how fast you accelerated out of the corners, etc.
I am selling this because I switched to the Futaba system with GPS telemetry which is and amazing system, but it doesn't record like this unit does.
Asking $60 (PayPal only) shipped in the lower 48 US states
