Hello. I completed a Dumas hawk 7.5 for my friend about a month ago. I am now in the process of building a hawk 3.5 for my self. There is a major difference in the front sponson construction. The 7.5 hawk's front sponsons have brass tubes installed and boom collars hold the carbon fiber booms on. The 3.5 kit has no brass tube or boom collars. Would it be a good idea to purchase some brass tubing and boom collars and build the kit like the larger hawk? My friend bought me this kit on sale, could this be an older version kit? ??? thanks Mike

i would highly recommend the brass tubes in the sponsons. it makes for easy tube adjustment and replacement. That is the way gary p himself does it. mike z sells the tube clamps youll need.
