Well still trying to get this hawk running first time out this year and still no luck however it came in everytime under its own power

i'm having problems getting the rpms up so the boat can get up on plane it sounds extremely rich but when i try leaning it out then it just dies i talked to joe at zipp kits and he told me to try one of his props so i bought a 1450 and tried that its better but stil no luck the motor is a thunder tiger .21 and i'm running 30% o donnels fuel any ideas would be greatly apprecited since i've tried everything i can thing of thanks

John I guess the problem is the lack of power of your TT 21.The Hawk compared to the new riggers is heavy and needs a good engine like a Novarossi or a GO if you can't turn the Zipp 1450(46mm).What pipe are you using? Gill

Is your strut set too shallow/deep? Gil his motor should get it up unless theres a problem with it. Heres a video of an fe hawk on a 3674 feigao 10xl . Not much more than a hp in that. Id check the strut depth an all. His 21 has to have at least a hp  - I hope.

The hawks do okay when set up - for what they are.

John,

A propeller like an H-5 with reduced cup is what you need or more nitro%.

The cup is loading your motor too much.

Have Fun Testing,

Mark

i've tried adjusting the strut doesn't make much of a difference the pipe is a mac and the length is 8 1/2 inches

A modified hawk and good motor and pipe will run with any of the new stuff.Mine is actually lighter than my JAE.Mine like an H4 the best.
