It would seem to me that to balance a prop you would need to have a matching drive dog and balance them together, with set screws too?
Can anyone explain?
It has been a while since I needed to introduce a new prop and balance one but it seems to me I saw a difference on the balancer last time with and without a drive dog?
I was tapering the dog down to match the prop so this is how I got the question in my mind; you know there is usually a mismatch between the diameters of the dog and where it meets the prop so I was matching them and then balancing the pair together. That boats long gone now...
Thanks for a few clues....
