Sooo sick of dealing with Dr.s offices and staff that act like they could give a fat rats azz - no matter how your paying. They seem understaffed and inattentive- speaking to a living breathing human on the phone is a joke- un returned voice mails, schedule tests at their leisure not how quickly you should be seen- esp with referrals ......

What a joke. They fail to make a pretty important appointment in my eyes- then give me the number to make it ?? really ?? Okay, having trouble getting the appnt and call my Dr back- nurse says oh heres some more to try, no offer to actually do her damn job and call the other Dr for me - nooooo

It doesnt help that I generally HATE going to the Dr.s office for anything unless it needs stitches or is broken

There I feel better now- NOT

I guess I am fortunate to not have had the problems that you have had with doctors, appointments, etc.. In fact, things have gone very smoothly for me this time with the rotator cuff surgery. The rehab is going well and the last time I saw the doctor that did the surgery he sat down and spoke to me for almost 10 minutes! I certainly wish anyone well that has any kind of ailament or surgery that has to deal with doctors and their office staff. As we all know, things don't always go so smooth. Best of luck with the doctors in the future, Andy!

The Dr. herself is awesome Dick- the only reason I havent found a new one- the staff on the other hand is worthless.............

They finally got the appointment for the nerve study fixed- a week later, but then Im sure it will be another week before I hear any results.

Frustrating.

I Suppose things vary in different areas, I've had some good and bad luck over the years and prefer to avoid doctors when I can. A botched cataract surgery a month after I retired was about the worst of it. Had to have a second surgery done on the left eye to try to fix the damage done the first time. The left eye is still quite red in the morning when I wake up. I was thinking about buying Clear eyes maximum redness relief in 55 gallon drums(like Bill buys windex).

They just seem like they are dragging their azzes and my situation seems to be declining as time goes buy- I dont want to lose digits because they didnt take this serious enough. Its not improving and I cant sit at the house without bringing in some coin in the mean time, so back to work in the am till they figure it out =sucks

Andy, I used to be a easy going/ good natured person but sometimes folks do not seem to appreciate that. When being easy going and good natured fails-GET LOUD AND IN THEIR FACE!

Don't make me send the Boss a P.M. get your arse in there and get it sorted out. Waiting for them to fit you in is not an option. I'm sure you heard the old phrase- the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

The BOSS is on it- lol

There are good and bad Dr. They are human, just like good and bad contractors or any other occupation. However its sad when peoplecant do their damn job.

I personally feel we should get help on how we pay our Dr. bills. I don't think someone pulling up to the office in a newer Cadillac with gold spinners and the latest cell phone, that doesn't pay their bill should get the same / fast survice as someone that is paid up and pays all their bills.

None of you are on Medicare

Try to find a competent Doctor once that happens

Took several tries before I could even get an appointment

Thank God I still am relatively healthy

I'm on Medicare and haven't had any problems finding good doctors in my area. Also have a supplemental ins. that pays most of my Medicare for me and I don't pay for the supplement. No copay on my primary care dr, and $25 for specialists. I guess it depends on where you live.

I tried to call my doctor today and the person who answered the phone is a fat, lazy hespanic guy who barely speaks English. The doctor is very good at what she does. She's young, agressive and damned nice to look at.

The nice to look at part is the reason I have stayed with her. The guy who answers the phone is a real turn off.

I'm on Medicare with a suppliment too and when I had heart surgery 6 years ago, my cash out of pocket was less than $20.00.

Over the last few years I've had 2stents implanted and gall bladder removal with very little out of pocket. Mostly ambulance and hospital co pays..

Wow really throwing out the racial card. Just like you have fat lazy white, black doesn't matter. People are lazy everywhere and for you to point put a specific race is insulting to those like me that are Hispanic ( that's the correct way to spell it ).

I'm not and never have been a big fan of doctors but only because you never really want to go see them (you go because you have to) and it's usually somewhat pricey it seems for the time actually spent there. With that being said I gotta admit that everyone from the surgeon right on down to the folks on the phone have been nothing short of stellar in dealing with the repair work to my right shoulder. To be honest the only thing I can really bitch about is the insurance provider making me jump through 2 months worth of hoops to get the MRI and this #$&%ing Aircast sling that I'm stuck in for 2 1/2 more weeks, hate it hate it hate it!!!!!

It's not he Doc I have had an issue with, just her sorry azzed staff
default_rolleyes.gif
4 specialists later and they finally got their finger on the issue and I am on the road to at least maintaining what I have in my left hand, good news. Hard part is it involves no more cig's - its hard as heck to quit but the alternative is not pretty. We both got e-cigs the other day and are trying our best
