Yet another UPDATE! The manufacturer does NOT recommend using this unit with Butane, due to the Polycarbonate body. I don't know the effect of actually using it with Butane, but there you have it. Sorry. If you want to use Butane, these may not be the Holy Grail after all.
Update! Sorry about forgetting the picture. My camera's broken, so here is a picture of one, from a catalog. Mine only have the SCFH scale, but I did the math for SCFM below. If you look closely at the pic, you can interpolate for LPM.
My initial search for these online yielded the price I quoted below, but further investigation turned them up at a lower price. Industrial sources list these units at around $70 to $100, depending on where you look. As a result, I am changing my asking price to $35 each plus shipping with the included $5 donation to IW.
Also, according to the manufacturer's website, the unit ACCURATELY (+/-3%) measures from about 20 SCFH to 200 SCFH, not from zero. That's about 0.333 SCFM to 3.33 SCFM..
Due to a recent windfall, I have several flow meters that I am interested in passing along to fellow boaters. These units are used, but were only used to meter nitrogen. The list price on them in a catalog is around $230, but I am willing to let them go for the ridiculous price of $50 each plus shipping. If you ever wanted a flow meter to test your engine, now is the time to get the essential part. The scale reads from zero to 200 standard cubic feet per hour.. The units themselves are about 1" square by 9" tall. E-mail me if you are interested. As an incentive, i will donate $5.00 back to IW for every one sold. (I have several). Buy one and help IW too.
