Pete great to see you have an interest...........We will be glad to see you. the Dover inn is off HWY 20 west of I 94 about 30 minutes from the Badgers pond. we have gone there Several times! The King Cut is 1 1/2 " thick and the size of the plate and comes with salad bar and bake potato for about $15. it's gonna be a good time.

I sure had a great time racing in D4 last summer. I won't be able to make it to the meeting, but I would like to make one sugestion. The guys down in Florida are having great success recently separating the gas and nitro races. Maybe it's worth a try in D4 with a few events? In any case, I plan on making the journey a few times again next summer. I will be working on the boats all winter trying to make them fast enough keep up with you guys.

Greg thanks for the idea. For clarification do you mean a gas only race event and a nitro only race event? Separate days or weekends?

I would advise to keep it as it is >

Satisfies more diversity and attracts racer's from both side's ................

Just a hint

Yes a separate event for nitro only and a seperate event for gas only on different days/weekends. The intent would not be to be divisive, (I run both gas and nitro) but to have a couple specialty events where instead of having twenty or more classes with 3 - 7 boats in each class, there would hopefully be fewer classes with 10 to 20 boats per class.

Good thoughts guy's.

Unfortunately in D4, Nitro is on the decline, Gas is on the incline and Electric is on the edge of the table. A venue dedicated to one fuel type is a little hard to financially support and then the consideration of the volunteer manpower to pull it off.

With that said there will be a good discussion at the meeting about trying to get to "less classes" and "more heats" in all the fuel types.

Any results from the meeting?
District 4 - 2016 Race dates:
Badgers June 4th
Badgers July 9/10 Two day race-will be sport 20/sport 40 weekend races for the memorial cups. Not two one day races as in past.
Marquette-St. Anne July 30/31
Minute Breakers - Mendota August 20/21
Marquette-St. Anne September 24th.
Badgers Turkey Shoot October 9th.

A few more races in the works, but not definite yet.

There is going to be high points series for certain classes. Like the 1/8 scale does. I believe gas sport hydro, thunderboat, and one or two more.
We registered 7 1/8 scale boats at the meeting. 3 new racers entering scale in 2016.

1/8 Scale is going to have one throw out allowed.

Others can elaborate on the other high points series. It is going to be FUN!!!

First Badger race is June 4. Open water Friday 6/3 afternoon and again on Sunday 6/6 9:00 - 2:00.

All the other dates look correct. Oshkosh is still considering a June 18 race.
