District 2 Challenge Race

On September 28, the Oakland Wolverine Model Boat Club is hosting the District 2 Challenge at Spencer Park in Rochester Hills Michigan. This is an annual event that is well attended at a very nice site. Due to time constraints because of having to use electric motors on the retrieve boats, we are limiting the entries at 80-90 boats and are offering the following classes. Entry deadline is September 24. Race flier is on the IMPBA Web site.

B, D Hydro, Sport 20, Sport 40, 1/8 Scale, B, D Mono, Novice, LS27 Sport Hydro, LS27 Gas Mono, Classic Thunderboat.

So far I have about 25 boats entered and I know there are a lot of guys that are planning on coming that I have not heard from yet, so get your entries in.

20 and 40 hydro racers. I'm starting to get some entries and am expecting more. Lets get them in, I would like to be able to put at least 2 heats of these together. I know the boats are out there, LETS GO RACING.

There is going to be a change in the format for the race. We are going to run Gas Cat in place of the Classic Thunderboat class.

I have not gotten any entries for Classic Thunderboat and there has been a lot of guys asking to run the Cat Class. Since this is a D2 points class, we should have offered it from the beginning. My bad, I'm not a gas guy.

I also need more entries for D-mono. I only have 2 boats entered so far. How many out there would enter if I changed this to Open Nitro Mono?

The Bills are doing just fine! Yee Ha! How about those Lions? Whoops, sorry about that. Touchy subject I bet!

My wife is very encouraging about me attending, especially if your gonna be there. Steve and Ron may both have to worry. I just better make sure I get to the border first or else they may claim that I'm the "Mule" and I'll end up with the deep cavity search!!!LOL :lol:

Thank you Oakland MBC for putting on a great day of Racing, ran a great program and kept the pace up to get all 89 boats entered finished at a resonable time,!!! I had a great dissipointing race day!!...LOL
