It is a crying shame that when a District Director resigns that he mentions how the constant chatter of dissatisfaction was partially due to the resignation. So what about the job he did. Of which you will never please everybody. Apparently no other District 12 members wanted the job so the whiners should stuff it!

I don't know how many times I heard people blame the DD for not getting their IMPBA cards. It isn't even his responsibility!

I could go on but what would be the point. I hope that people try help all IMPBA/NAMBA/club officers and not try to knock them down all the time.

I wish Mike Saleeby "Good Luck" in his new field and "Thank You" for your efforts and time as District 12 Director. I certainly hope his decision doesn't affect the choice he makes of driving 2 hours each way to the ODMBA club races.

Well crap Preston, I am sorry to hear that,

Mike is a great guy to talk over stuff with and very helpfull with tips.

He has answered my questions at Jims RC Boatdock many times,

Best of luck Mike, Wish you well ;)

Mike I am sorry to hear that a very few gas holes got to you but I understand where you are comming from as I have been there and done that. There are a huge group of fantastic people racing r/c boats but it only takes a few of the ones who do nothing but bitch instead of coming up with solutions they cause problems. This is how we lost Dick Tyndle and Priscilla

Yes Mike is a great guy and an outsanding sportsman, I always enjoy talking to him about boats, he will be missed by our district.

Hap, I saw your post about Dick, the whole club hasn't been worth a **** since he was driven away by a small select group of bitchers.

One thing for sure was Dick & Priscilla put the IMPBA first & foremost. Being a director or secretary is another one of those thankless jobs, like CD'ing a race. Been there, done that, still doing it.....

Well, I for one would like to give a BIG THANKS to anyone who puts forth an effort to better this obsession and ends up forgotten or unappreciated.

And I'm sure I'm not alone.

From the guy who lends a little advice or encouragement (or a glow plug) at the local pond, to the one who volunteers to CD an event (usually cause no one else wants to put up with the crap associated), to the Director who tries to keep an entire district happy and running as smoothly as possible.

I don't think they're "thankless jobs"...I thunk they're just not thanked enough...I think.

When you do good, no one remembers...when you do bad, no one forgets.

Are the mouths that ran Mike out of the office going to step up and take over his position? Or just wait for someone else to take the vacancey and pounce on them?

I talked to Mike last night I wanted to find out just what happened. It's shame some people have nothing better to do than complain about everything on the net.

Mike did a good job on the board myself and John Equi both liked working with him! Steve Sutton did a good job as picking him as a replacment when Steve quit.

I like the way you coin the term GAS HOLES, fits then to the T sometimes. At nats you usually have to have a veteran CD for the gas classes because of all the whinning. They can get really ugly with all that screaming during a race.
