Distance strut from transom SGX45

I'm rebuilding a SGX45 and can't find the brackets for the strut, so have to make new ones. What distance should the strut be from the transom?

brackets with 1" lenght ..almost the same position in your picture..Gill

better post a pic for you.....this is my .45 sgx built for saw Gill

Brackets on my SG are 1". Strut extends 2 1/16" beyond the transom.

Paul it's the same..The only change was the rudder blade. Gill
