Diferent pipes and lengthe for the MAC21

What are the different pipes and lengths of tuned pipes that people are using on the MAC21 engine. also how are they measures ie: start of stinger or wides pipe point to the plug?

Dave,

Are you running a hydro or mono? We are basically between 7 3/4" to 8 1/4".

The shorter one is on the hydro and 8" works well on a mono also. AB nitro

pipe or any of the AB quiet pipes. Measurement is from the center of the piston

to the seam on the pipe.

I had my mono set at 7 3/4s and 8 on mono, depending the prop.

I measured from glow plug pin to fat part of pipe where weld bead is.

it will be for a hydro and i was estimating about 8 inches for the pipe length but was curious as to the lengths others use. are these engines run as stock or have you modified them ie timing or just for a better flow.

I left mine stock, ran good in a mono.

I used the brown unmuffled pipe on it.

Just a little work done to it :lol: :lol: :lol: .

Mostly flow work inside the case.

On the A-Hydro try 7 3/4" and move out from there.

Propeller choice will determine your setup a little also.
