Well i've had a pretty poor season trying to get this hull setup right to no avail,so i'm here to ask the guys who've had good success with this hull for help

Setup is as follows

delta force 29.5

Feigao 8xl

speedmaster stinger strut

speedmaster mini mono rudder

12x IB 4200's

basicly I'm looking for complete setup guide from COG to trimtab settings..

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Heath

An 8XL on 12 cells in a 29" hull sound good.

Can you show us some pictures of your setup.

It would be best for someone to see it run, where do you live?

One thing on a DH hull you have got to turn your rudder input way down.

Hey Larry,

The boats actually in bits at the moment for end of season repairs and repaint..so no pics

The one thing i did get right was the steering,i had that turned wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy down

I just had trouble finding the sweet spot in the hull, when i ran on my own it was awesome,as soon as i raced,it would blow over ,any adjustments i made would cause it to run to wet..

Here's a vid of it running with a Nue 1515 1Y and 12 cells (Nue is now in my whiplash)

BTW i live in Australia

Hi Heath,

Cut 1 inch off the strut and give it about 1 or 2 degrees negative trim. Start at 35% CG and work from there. The base of the strut should be 3/16ths inch above the keel slight offset to the right. ;)

Should give you a better heat racer.

Paul.

Thanks for the info Paul,

At the moment the strut is 2/16ths (if my imperial reading is correct lol) so I'll raise it up a little more.

What about trim tabs?Currently they are positioned 1" either side from the center,is this ok?And should they be set neutral, positve or negative??

Look forward to receiving the decals

Heath
