Hi,

Some one pointed out on my carburator that my fuel nipple was pointed up, not down to the rite spot. And the fitted peice is machined with a spray bar that is fluted. If I was to point the nipple to the closes piont to the fuel cell the flute on the spray bar would be facing up when i open it.

The only two soutions that I have would to get a new carb ( fat chance ) or to cut the flute out . I need some Ideas that wont let e down.

One Idea was to ct the old flute off and make my own by slipping a brass tube over and cutting the flow port in the correct spot.

don't know what carb you are playing with , but can't you put the spray bar where you want it and drill and tap for a fitting pointing where you want it? then plug the orignal feed hole. gwg

Its Rossi carb Stock! for the 7.5 OB engine.

Yes I can press out the carb end cap and move the fuel inlet in any position and thus the spray bar will be 180 deg off facing up not in to the engine.

Hi

Maybe you need to turn the needle housing over 180deg and then turn the carb around 180deg so that the nipple faces down and the spraybar faces inwards - if I understand what you mean.

I was thinkin' the same thing..... :p

What does it hurt to leave the nipple pointing up?

That's usually a good thing. :D

But seriously, what does it hurt?

May be I will just leave it the way it is.

The 180 and 180 wont workm, the spray bar is cut on the opposet 180 from the nipple.

don't know what your gonna do, but end results will have to be , "spray bar" (wher the fuel comes out feeding the motor) must spray into the motor or crank opening or rotary valve or rotary drum opening. where you hook up your supply flex hose don't mater but it is nice to have it as short as possible and with the least amount of bends in it. gwg
