Darkhorse shovel

I had an electric boat about 15 years ago. It went for about 2 laps & almost caught on fire if I recall correctly. Hopefully this time around it will be better. Enough of that. I bought a Brian Buass Darkhorse shovelnose. HELP!!! I want this thing to be blistering fast & have long run times of course!! I am thinking Aquacraft sv 27 brushless setup with as many cells as I can run. Any other reliable affordable motor battery combo's? What batteries do I buy?? 4500 nimh? Not really interested in a lipo setup for a 1st timer, but maybe. I'm intrigued by "wire drives" but know nothing about them. I've got a .150 cable w/3/16ths stub, is that my answer? Any help, photo's of setup's etc.... are much appreciated. My private e-addy is jscott 1128 at hotmail.com

Joe Im sure if you asked Brian he could help you out. IMHO he is the one in the know on that boat. Shoot him a PM, raptor347 -I believe? or he should chime in.
