Trent posted this on JIMS

I wanted to let everyone know that Saturday June 6th, we will be having a catered lunch. My buddy, who has his own authentic Cajun Cookin' Catering business, will be bringing his BBQ pit and deep fryer down to cook for us. The menu will consist of BBQ pork tenderloin, fried catfish, fried shrimp, hush puppies, your choice of cole slaw or potato salad! ..... I guarantee, this is some of the best BBQ and Cajun quisiene you will ever have. So bring your appetite because it's all on me!

Just a reminder to everyone coming this weekend the access road to pond is very dusty ,there are 2 houses on this road and I consider these people my friends and I want to KEEP it that way. What I am saying is GO SLOW

GO SLOW GO SLOW . ;)

I herd from Omro that the entries are far more than expected so it should be a FUN & busy Race

Thanks Mike

As I posted on JRCBD-

Geeez, I don't know where to start in that this was such great time but here goes-

First and foremost got to thank Danny Weimer who just got his CD license LAST WEEK and took on a big D12 points race with 120 heats and did an OUTSTANDING job! Danny you should be very proud of yourself, I know we are! Trent, the guys you brought in for the Saturday lunch were a BIG hit and everyone really enjoyed it, THANK YOU!! To Earl, Mike and the rest of the DelMarva crew- it was a great weekend and I hope the rest of the D12 races can reach the level you all set at this event, GREAT RACE GUYS!!

As for the event itself it could not have been more perfect .... once we got past the rain on Friday. The weather Saturday & Sunday was awesome, everyone liked the 5 buoy corners, the racing was fast and the competition was tough for sure but everyone got along on a level I can only hope others throughout the boating community can experience at their races. I am so proud of how all my D12 people put FUN FIRST as THAT is what it's all about so HATS OFF to all the racers who attended, we all did it just like it's supposed to be!!!!!

And lastly ..... the thorn was finally pulled from Mr. Steve Speas side with the presentation of a special plaque (thanks to John Equi for the help getting it made) for the Excellence of Performance award that was unfortunately overlooked back in 1998 when Steve tied with Jerry Crowther for IMPBA's highest racing honor. The blank expression on Steve's face when I asked him to come up to the trophy table was great (he had no idea what was happening), but the fact that it left him totally speechless when we asked him to say a few words said it all! Congrats to a guy who's brought much to the hobby, it was long overdue!

Thanks again to everyone for a simply outstanding weekend of racing and even more importantly a TON of FUN!!
