Custom Rio 51 with Modded Zenoah Big Bore

This is an extensively modified Rio 51” Monohull RC Boat. They were designed to emulate the 30 foot Fountain Race Boats.

For those familiar with these Rios, you might be aware of some of the issues of the boats that comprised their beautiful looks and hull dynamics.

This boat has been completely gutted and re-engineered. The stringers have been reglassed with 3610 and vinylester resin to bond with the factory laminate.

The original engine, known for its anemic performance and reliability, was swapped out for Big Bore Zenoah That was custom built by American RC Boats and installed with a water cooled tuned pipe. A silencer was added to preserve the property value of the neighbors at the lake. A billet carb trumpet finishes off the installation.

It also features a shaft Oiler, and the collet/shaft have been optimized to prevent failures common in stock setups.

The performance of the boat is now stunning And reliable, making it a great daily runner with performance to compliment its looks.

The boat comes complete with servos and Is ready to run with the addition of your receiver.
