Congratulations to Rob Grey and Mike Bontoft for their third place finish early this morning. Mike spent the last year rebuilding the boat for Rob Grey, the owner. The race is a 200 mile offshore race along England's south coast and is one of the last real offshore races left. It's usually a test of endurance with 2 foot waves common. This was the 51st anniversary running of the race. The first place boat was Martin Lai's Powerboat Asia and second was Marcus Hendricks' Cinzano.

Oops. Cinzano was first by 8 seconds after 200 miles of racing. It looked like a photo finish on the race tracking site. That's real competition.
