I'm working on doing a 77 Blue Blaster 8th and your pics will really come in handy. Looks like the Coors Light is practically the same boat!

One question in all of the pics ive seen the outside corners of the front edge of tunnel to sponson there is an knife point type feature board protruding that is sandwiched between the tunnel and front sponsons at each inside corner. I would like to replicate that feature but am curious as to what its purpose was?
