Configure 2 Underwater Thruster to Steer

Completely new RC world. I would like to put these underwater thrusters on a 1/4 wooden raft so you can't see them https://a.co/d/6JnjbUc. Can I just hook each ESC up to a channel and kinda drive it like a tank. Would 1 engine have to spin clock wise and the other go counter clock wise to go straight ? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Is it possible to mix channels in such a way as to achieve this ? Could you do it with 1control stick ?
