The SOWEGA Model Boaters had a great time in Charleston and the CMB gang put on a great race.

The site is a great place to run with 90 degree heat, it felt like it was twenty degrees cooler in the shade of those oak trees and the pond has the clearest water I have seen at any site.

Thanks to the CMB club for stepping up and hosting our second Grand Prix Race of the year. It has been a long time since a GP race was held in South Carolina and I hope this becomes an annual event.

The race time was moved up to accomodate four rounds of racing and it proved to be a wise decission based on the 160 entries. This was probably one of the largest GP races we have ever had.

Thanks to Gabe, Jenny and the whole CMB gang for their hard work and making us all feel welcome.

Your hard work and hospitality did not go unnoticed.

I want to thank Mitch Atwell for his help, parts and advice on keeping my quarter scale barge running. I see why he is the World Champion, those years of hard work really paid off. OH, We missed you Tony and your brother took good care of me.

Congratulations to Kem, Jim, Tad and Wayne for taking home some of the awards. SOWEGA Model Boaters had a great showing.

Hope to be back in Charleston next year for great racing, fellowship and seafood.

Well said Ricky!!! I think I can safely say that everyone from the AMB feels the same way.

Many thanks to the whole CMB gang for a great race. Gabe, Jenny, Angie, Randy, and Deryl, great job in the tower all weekend.

Fantastic site, great weather, great people, good racing, we couldn't ask for more!

I hope Charleston is on the GP schedule next year, I'll be there!!! :)

Thanks again!!!

Doug
