Does anyone have a recommendation with regards to a 90 outrigger and CMB engines, whether the 91RS or the 91 VAC would be best, they both seem to have the same power output, but the newer VAC has a slightly longer stroke

any info is much appreciated

Thanks Tom, sounds like the go, I happened to have a a couple of 91RS's new in box, I might post them on the sale section and buy some VACs

The RS takes some work to make it run. Send it to Seve Wood and it will be ready to go.

The VAC is ready to go with just a clean up of the flashing on the inside.

Both make great power.

Hi Shane,

I have a set with very little run time...that I was thinking of selling let me know if your interested.

BTW, I would have to agree w-Tom it would also be my big block of choice.

Happy boating,

Elias

thanks for the advice everyone, if I change at all, I will have to sell my RS's first, as we all know, engines are not cheap

What about the 91HR vs the 91VAC? I currently have both, recently picked up a new VAC. I have been running the HR in my Seaducer and have a Eagle 90 project that was being planned for another HR, but now that I picked up the VAC I'm thinking of installing it in my eagle. Will there be clearance issues with the VAC carb on the eagle?

The clearance issue is something i'd like to know about too. Am running a Eagle sg with a 91rs too but am thinking about a vac.

There will be an issue, when you build a new boat it`s quite easy to adjust it so it will fitt and adjust CG but if you have a boat that you run a RS engine in it`s not so easy.
