Yes that stuff is great for $20+,nitro will not hurt 2k...this stuff is hard as a rock when dry. Save money by using 2k in a rattle can. Goes on great with a smooth finish.

Yeah what he said. one can for a rigger and two for a thunderboat.

I hate cleaning up my spray equipment. If this clear is really two part epoxy paint, I want to try it. Where can I buy the paint?

I use it on all kinds of model finishes. I've done several airplanes using Ace rattlecan colors and then use Spraymax clear gloss to finish it. It gives a good shiny gloss finish and is very hard. It's also nitro fuel proof, works well on gas powered stuff too. I get mine from Eastwood. Right now I have four tunnel boats that I race finished in that, two more about to be. It is excellent.

Hey Jeff. I use that same clear over enamel spray paint on all my riggers and it's been great. You can buy it at most any automotive paint store or online, Final finish has it here in Bradenton

So I could use it on an all wood boat without paint with no problem?

yes, works well gas powered wood boats

seal bare wood with 2-3 coats of epoxy thinned with denatured alcohol to water consistency

lightly scuff with Scotch Brite pad

wipe clean with denatured alcohol dampened paper towel

2K clear coat on sealed wood or painted wood

2 coats of 2K provide a good finish on decks and cowls

3-4 cans of 2K required for a 48in t-boat and cowls
