I’m thinking that I’m going to put some boats up for sale this weekend at the VooDoo race. I’m really not interested in shipping them but if your interested in one of them maybe you can get someone to bring it home from the race for you.

The first is a 1/6th scale 8255 hull. ML kit with RC Boat Comp rear wing, cowl and wing mount. It has the scale rudder mount from Don and I also have the OBoy Oberto decal kit as well. It’s almost ready for paint just a few simple things left to do and your ready to go racing.

The 2nd hull is a 1/8th scale elec 8255. This one is basically ready to run less paint. I have a OBoy Oberto decal set for this hull also but for the hull without the rear wing. I have a motor, speed control rudder servo shaft and a few props to go with this hull. If interested I can get all the info together for you, everything is new.

The 3rd one I’m still on the fence about. A friend told me 6 months ago that he wanted it and then had some health issues. I may sell it and when he gets back up on his feet build him a new hull. It’s a ML 7474 hull. I also have the Notre Dame decals for this hull. Like the first hull, it’s really close to being done. This one came out really nice.

Hi Chris, how much for just the hull and cowling of the gas 7474 (and if you are willing to do it) shipped to 98155? Also, if you are willing the motor mount as well or tell me what it is so I can try to find one?

Thanks, Mike

875.00 But I’m not interested in boxing and shipping it. However, if you make arrangements I’ll bring the boat anywhere within reason ( from me in Covington, La) so that it can be boxed and shipped. It’s set up for a Gizmo standard mount and a 100 degree header so it would be easy to finish once you get it.

The Voo Doo club is having their race tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. There will be Guy’s from all over there. You might be able to find someone to bring it to your area instead of shipping it, just a thought. I’m delivering 2 8255 hulls at the race for Guy’s doing that already.

Thanks. I kind of doubt that there's going to be anyone from the Pacific NW there but maybe someone will see this and come forward.

You have a sale plus shipping costs of course if you change your mind.

There is a UPS store near me. If you message me your address I’ll stop by there and get a price from them on the packing and shipping and let you know. I personally don’t have a box to put it in but the last boat I shipped was an 1/8th scale and shipping alone was a joke.

Chris

I shipped an 1/8th scale a couple of months ago FED EX from Seattle to Florida for $245 and built a cheapo crate for $50. But yes please check it out with $1000 insurance.

Thanks, Mike

You guys should look into getting a Pirate Ship account. They provide middle man shipping services at a very discounted rate. I just shipped a box with 2 riggers and a bunch of engine parts yesterday at a fraction of the price at the UPS store. Plus for $4 UPS came to my house and picked it up.

Chris, very nice work on these hulls. If anyone is looking for a gas scale, you can't go wrong here. The little bit he's charging for the labor and supplies is nothing considering you are getting a boat that is built with this much quality and will run properly.

Thanks for the kind words and shipping suggestion, I’ll have to look into that.

This is crazy.

I went to the UPS Store today just to get some prices on shipping. To ship the one hull (the 7474) with 1000.00 insurance from Covington Louisiana (1 hour north of New Orleans) to Seattle Washington, NOT including a box or packing, they gave me an estimate of $408.00. I’m sure the box and packing materials will cost at least 60.00 to 75.00 so you would end up with about 500.00 into shipping this with UPS.

Wasted wages pointed out Pirate shipping a while back, I've been using since, works well and gives a choice of shipping options. I do think the ups stores are the most expensive, just my opinion. If you do use Pirate/UPS , you can hand to any driver, probably same with mailman.
Another thing I thing helps with the pain ( price wise ) is just splitting the cost if it makes all easier.
