Classic Hydros 1/16 shovelnose hydro

I got the boat like, 7 years ago...started putting it together, then kinda set it off the side....i was wondering if there is a CHEAP ESC/Battery/motor combo that would work for this boat..i doubt ill ever race it,id just like to run it for fun...looking for a simple, low tec set up! Also, can i use a standard 24 hour epoxy to join the deck to the hull if i scuff up the ABS plastic real good? If not, what adhesive do you guys reccomend? Many Thanks! Bill

Hi Bill i built one off these hydro's back in 2005 for glueing the hull i used Humbrol poly cement i was told this cement bonds abs better than ca glue or epoxy. For power i used a Offshore electrics speed 700 with a Jetti 600 navy esc on 12 cells turning a x642 prop hope this helps.Regards Andris Golts.

Merry Christmas Bill. The hydro ran great with that set-up with 5 minute run time i had no gps at the time im guessing low to mid 30's .Regards Andris Golts.
