Thinking of purchasing a ML Boatworks kit for a Chrysler Crew 1/8 Scale. Which Kit is the best for this style? RC Boatworks has many cowls, but not sure which one will work with the Chrysler Crew.

Thanks, Tom

don't think a 6677 kit available from ML.

don't confuse ML's GP l'bach kit with the 6677 CC unless you're prepared to modify the sponson frames. see the 6677 tear drop sponson decks. the ML's GP transom is wider than a 1/8 scale 6677 and has a channel on the underside. verify these details with ML.

mounting the turn fin on the 6677 is also a consideration.

ML's GP l'bach cowls too large for a 1/8 scale 6677 or 7505.

i suggest these cowls from RC BC unless ML has 1/8 scale l'bach cowls available.

ask Steve about height and width match between this front cowl and the 5840 rear cowl.

the RC BC 5840 rear cowl almost identical to the 6677 rear cowl, imo.

or build ML's GP l'bach kit and cowls as is, finish it in '66 or '67 CC colors and have fun.

Hi Tom,

Joe Wiebelhaus has built a beautiful Chrysler Crew. I am not sure which vintage. He is National Scale Director and is a wealth of information on hulls. Might want to contact him. JB
