i got a few chips on the bottom of my hull whats a good product to use to fill it in and smooth it out?

What is the hull made of? Gelcoated polyester fiberglass? Epoxy glass? Timber?

The answers might vary depending on what it's made from.

Gelcoat can be repaired pretty easily. clean up the chips with some sandpaper then some cleaning solvent like acetone. Let it dry, then mix up some gelcoat and fill the chips with it, let it cure then sand it flat, then finish it off witha really fine grit paper then a finishing compound.

Bondo works well too. I used it on my Calcraft to flatten out the warp in the the bottom. Ran like crap until I did it.

Bondo will absorb water if left exposed. If water gets under the bondo, it will end up either falling off, or rotting the good resin/gelcoat underneath. Just my 2 cents though! :D
