The Carey Lake Classic which was scheduled for June has been rescheduled for September 27th-28th. Open water on Friday September 26th at noon-dusk. The model boating community is well represented in the north east both in the IMPBA and the NAMBA members. For fun we will be doing a IMPBA Vs. NAMBA challenge. I very happy that you guys could put on a race this year.

Since you had to canceled in June because of a weed problem it looks like

you are going to have a great event.

Good start for the sign ups. About 60 boats singed up so far. A little over a month to go until the race. Here is a pic of our site.

For anyone who is staying at a hotel. The holiday Inn express is offering a discount until September 5th. Just mention Rochester Model Boat Club. This should be a great race to end the District Series in D1. Sign up today at rcracingevents.com

Link to the hotel: www.hiexpress.com/websterny

I don't think it's the end in D1. Oct 3-4 will be the final in D1 at Elmira Brick pond. Tom

Tom,

It is the end of the DISTRICT Performance series. Elmira started the series back in May. Yes Elmira does have one more race Oct.3-4 which is not part of the series since a club can only participate once. Hope to see you in Rochester

Well Tom Carey lake is the Last race of the D1 series for 2014 Not Elmira that's just a regular club Sanctioned race

the first race was the one that was Part of the series not all of them Only one race per club per season is part of the series.

There is only a few weeks left until the Carey Lake Classic in Rochester, NY. The club has worked hard and have made some very nice upgrades to the site. The entrance into the field where we can park was filled with stone so there is no worry about cars or trailers getting stuck anymore. We also made a very nice launch area lined with stone. A very safe accessible site, not to mention the huge pond to run on. Please help the race committee and sign up on rcracingevents.com as soon as you can. Hope to see everyone in a few weeks. Best of luck to everyone racing at Brick Pond this coming weekend. Also thanks to those who have already signed up.

The count down is on only 5 days to go before open water time looks like it will be a great race.

A big thanks to all that came out to the Rochester site for their first ever race. It was a huge success, Racers were happy, and even more importantly the owner of the property was happy.

Thanks to all the racers who supported the restaurant.

Sorry for the spelling errors in names. Those results are purely off memory. Pretty sure they are correct I will make changes when rcracingevents gets the scores up.

This was Rochester's first shot at holding a sanctioned IMPBA D1 event and I must say they did an exceptional job. The site is one of the best around. Great racing, great pond, great food and most importantly great people. I will definitely be back in 2015. Thanks RMBC.
