Car engine in a boat

Is it possible to run an air-cooled car engine a boat. I have a 1:12 scale Miss Bud and I ordered a Traxxas TRX 2.5 car engine for it. Will I burn it up or will it be ok? ???

Sure, that's what we're talking about using in the Hammerhead .12! With the Miss Bud you would want to open up the air intake but you might have to cut a hole in the canopy to get all of the heat sink to fit.

It is still cool outside, so this may have some effect, but I think the cooling is a little too much with the heat sink. If you open up the front of the scoop, and cut 3 layers of fins of the top of the heat sink, you might be able to get away without cutting up the cowl.

Do some calculations.

I ran a 20 mono and a 20 hydro for years using only an air cooed head with no problems.
