Can anyone refer me to a site or video showing a wood hydroplane build. I need one for a beginner,that would show how to apply epoxy,glue and so forth.

Good to see you back into the sport again. I would also recommend zippkits. The kits are relatively simple and the instructions for build are on their website.

Yes contact Mike!!! I did not and I cursed him every step of the way building my Winston Eagle.. Even tho I know what the boat looks like and how it is suppose to end up I had to make some adjustments. Trust me I ain't complaining at all I got a great looking hull just need to paint it and lay on decals.. I think I can paint but I have spent enough time in the build I want the paint done right!! I built the 1989 Winston with (NO) rear sponsons as the kit came didn't want to go through the process of making the rear sponsons..
