boom tube clamps?

are the boom tube clamps required for the jae style rigger? ive heard that you really dont need them ? sorry if i sound stupid

Russ,. you can use the clamps or the traditional screws through the tubes.

The boom tube clamps don't weaken the tubes.

If you drill thru the 21 booms, they will break...

Plus, the front boom is blind.

Also helps protect the tub when you're booms get sheared off if you hit something (clean break at the boom collars).......don't ask me how I know.... :lol:
