Boaters Requested by the city for Riverfront Classic.

I got a phone call from Steve Reuter from the City of Dixon, Illinois. I was asked if we could have a race or fun run on September 28th on the Rock River in in Dixon. I replied that i couldn't sanction a race on the same weekend we have a race sanctioned ( Our District Championships our that weekend). So I guess my post is if there is anyone in the area of Dixon Illinois an is into Cars and runs RC boats they would love you to contact them. They do have a couple local boaters that will be running RC boats and will have the water controlled with a retrieve, "This is NOT Sanctioned" . If my club wasn't holding the championship that weekend i would go and show them my boats and run with them if its possible. I am not exactly sure how strong the current in the river would be or exactly were on the river they plan on running. attached is the flyer for the event, if you think you would like to maybe participate please give Steve Reuter a call, his number is on the flier.
