Brandon Model Boaters new boat launching area
Hi all just want to share what we at the Brandon Club is doing to make our boat launching area better for the club and for all that support our races.
Due to an old wood bulkhead rotting out and allowed the water to back wash the ground in our launch area leaving large holes, so before every race we would all get out to the pond and have a work day filling the holes and make the best launch area we could.
So we are in the process fixing the problem with the Hope's of having a safe but first class launch area for our fellow boaters. We have start driving PVC sheet pilings for the bulkhead and will install a new surface to launch from.
The project will complete before the FE race in November.

Interesting how did you drive the pvc sheets in to the ground, about how much are the panels per foot?

We rented a 65lb jackhammer with a 2" coupling that sat on top of a plate that fit the sheet pile and drove them from 3 to 5 feet
Cost was 3.50 a foot
