I heard from Mark Ward this am and was told all 3 Knoxville Thunder Boats were destroyed yesterday. One hit the shore from an apparent radio failure and the other 2 collided and were trashed. Also a cat hit the bank and was totalled

. Over $4500.00 gone in one day. My sympathy to those fine guys who race hard even at club events.

OUCH!!!! Money flew out  Can mark repair on boat or write off ( garabage) ??

That really bites. Those guys will be fine and show up in Evansville next spring, I'm sure

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT ALL THE DAMAGE. I HOPE THEY ALL REBUILD, I KNOW HARVEY WILL AND MAKE EVEN A BETTER BOAT. IF THEY DO AND PLAN ON RUNNING IN D-14 NEXT YEAR, THEY NEED TO KEEP IN MIND THE ZENOAH ONLY RULE FOR THUNDERBOATS.

I'm one of the guys involved in Black Sunday.A number of lesons to be learned. My transmitter started beeping at buoy 4 indicating low voltage.Rather than pull out of the driving lanes and shuting the boat down or bring the boat in,I decided to let my pit man check the voltage reading on the transmittr screen. He was unable to see my transmittr in front of me so I raised it up over my left shoulder so he could get a better view while I was also talking to him and driving about 50 MPH.Needless to say I am lousy at multi tasking and took out Mark's boat on buoy 6.A driver needs to concentrate on his boat with no distractions. If anything is different about boat or radio do the safe thing.Staying in a heat is not as important as safety.

Sunday evening I e-mailed Joe P. at Zipp and told him what I needed and before Thanksgiving if possible. Then I could work on the boat over the long holiday weekend.I called him Monday morning.Joe was already assembling the wood sheets and had them shipped Monday. The box was waiting for me when I got home today, and I'm going to start building after I post this e-mail.Service like this makes you love the hobby.

Mikey, that was a sad day but, overall this season i finished out with 15 trophys 13 of which was first place finishes and the other two were 3rd. place. i'll be back in the spring but very doubtful not with a thunderboat, got to go a little faster be able to get out of the way quicker!! :D Mark

You can’t quit T-Boats now. After mine got tore up at the K-Classic in Sept, I put it on a diet and rebuilt it, just so I could beat you at your own game. I have carved 2+ lbs off it. I guess if you get out then I will have the dominate T-Boat and win all the trophies, and that will make my wife mad because then I will have more trophies sitting around collecting dust.

Mark, like Donny said "You can't quit now!!!" I'll have one or maybe two Thunderboats next year. I am getting ready to skin the Blazer and when it is done I am building a Zipp. Without you I'll have no competition :D :D :D :D . Just kidding Don.
