OK , I'm having my big BBQ and we have a donor for 50 lbs of crawdads , looking for the simplest / best way to cook / serve them . Let's hear from the experts !

As they say in LA. You put them on a table and if they don't crawl off, don't cook them.

Another tip. After they are cooked, if the tail lays flat, don't eat them. Basically, when they hit the hot water, if they are alive, their tails curl up and stay that way. You do not want to eat dead shellfish.

ABSOLUTELY! Good point Bob!!

Don't eat crawdads with straight tails!

While I'm at it....use crab-boil.

Only way to do those mudbugs. Make sure you throw in some corn, onion, potatoes, and sausage...
