It all depends on what your application is for. Hydro YES Scale the ab67-80 is much better set up correctly will let you crawl then get to near 60mph in a hurry 410 stinger works best 430 for hot weather

I will race it in Dist 19. so slow would be nice then a quick acceleration. It is a IRA COTTON wood hull.

on my 67 boat @ 11 inches will run 90mph race ready

a little shorter might squeeze a mph or two.. but 11 or a tick longer for a hydro is a good place to start

well I have seen a new trend of aluminum zero band gas pipe's being used with custom made headers, check with Steve Peterson his boats haul the mail!!

What is the best or almost best pipe for a 67 CMB?
the cmb big belly black pipe, hands down
Steve what muffler do you prefer with the big belly pipe? Have you and Chris ever tried one with an internal stinger? B)
the quietest one is the little offset one that steve cooper sells, but, you will lose 5 mph off the top end. currently running either mine or one of the carbon fiber ones from mike tyson

don,

havn't really pressed the internal stinger thing due to the thickness of the stinger is like a mountain dew can.lol

just leary to open it up to much before it rips.

i know you can some what.

Terry Keeley should jump in here sometime, he runs the big belly with internal stinger. My trials with them suck as if you dunk the boat its hell getting water out, even with the hole drilled

Yup, been running the big belly for years and since the '03 season with an internal, had it at 0.430 initially but went down to 0.400 (original stinger size) last season. Andy sure knows his pipes! :p

Didn't see any difference running with or without, brought me down from 103 to about 91 db, if I add a little 707 muffler it's about 89, or real quiet. :D

I'm only running high 70's though...

Funny how most of the gas pipes I see now are "internalized" from the factory. ;)
